On 30th December
2000, 5424, a newly restored D9, recreated the X68 run from Birmingham
to Leicester via Coventry Pool Meadow bus station.
On board were
a busload of enthusiasts and a video cameraman from DAVideo. Following
at various locations along the route were three other video cameramen.
All so that DAVideo could produce a video of the event, and tell the
story of the D9 in Leicester, the area that became the last bastion
of the BMMO double-decker.
Included in
the video is archive footage from 1979. This is super 8 SOUND film,
shot by a member of the DAVideo team just before the withdrawal of the
buses, plus other archive footage kindly provided by Rod Bates and Brian
Dicks.
The video is available in VHS PAL, NTSC or DVD and is 40 mins in length.
For prices and payment options see table below.
